➥ On 4th April, International Day for Mine Awareness was organized worldwide. On December 8, 2005, the United Nations General Assembly announces to celebrate this day every year on this day. Its purpose is to make people aware of my protection. Its aim is to help establish and develop national mine-work capacity in those countries, where mines and explosive war remedies create a serious threat to safety. This is done in collaboration with the United Nations and related organizations. Social and economic development is also encouraged in health and people's lives at the national and local level. United Nations Mine Action Service(UNMAS) has been trying to solve the problems of people affected by the last 20 years and to resolve the threats created by explosives to the common citizens. This year the theme of the theme is United Nations Promotes SDGs - Safe Ground-Safe Home.

➥ Government telecom company BSNL has got a license to provide Internet service in air and water. BSNL will provide this facility to people through its foreign partner, Inmarsat. Use of BSNL's internet will be done by all airlines, who operate in India or fly abroad from the Indian airspace. They have to get BSNL's Ku Band, Swift Broadband and Fleet Broadband service. This facility will also get water vessels operating in the Indian Maritime Border. It is likely to start by the end of this year.
Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu presented the Maharishi Badarayan Vyas awards at a function organized in New Delhi. Let us tell you that every year Maharshi Badarayan Vyas award is given to the scholars of Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic, Pali, and Prakrit, Classical Oriya, Classical Kannada, Classical Telugu, and Classical Malayalam language. This award started in 2002 and is given to selected young scholars in the age group of 30 to 45 years. Under this award, a memorandum, a memento and a cash prize of Rs one lakh are given. Badarayan was an Indian philosopher, about which almost none of the personal details are reliably known.

Apart from winning the gold medal in Commonwealth Games and Asian Games, Neeraj Chopra had also set a national record by throwing 88.06 meters of spear last year. ➦Vikram Kirloskar, Chairman and Managing Director of Kirloskar Systems Limited took over the charge of the President of the Indian Industry Confederation (CII), a leading industry organization of the country. He has replaced Rakesh Bharti Mittal, President of the organization and Vice President of Bharti Enterprises. Along with this, Kotak Mahindra Bank's founder, Uday Kotak has been nominated as the nominee-chairman.

➦Donald Trump Administration Officer David Malpas has been elected the 13th President of the World Bank. The Executive Board of the World Bank selected him as the President by a consensus. At present, he is the Deputy Minister of International Affairs in the US Department of Finance. His tenure will be for 5 years. It is worth noting that all the 13 elected president of the World Bank are American. The President of the World Bank is also the Chairman of the International Reconstruction and Development Bank and the Board of Directors of the International Development Association.
