Recently, the CII Foundation Award for the three women, given the CII Foundation Award - 2019, has been given their names and fields:



Bhima Navnavi (Education Sector) One-lane (Health Sector) Neelima Tigga (microenterprise)
This program, run by the CII Foundation, recognizes exemplary women working at the grassroots level.
The main objective of this program is to promote women's empowerment at the community level by exploring, identifying and supporting those who have excelled and contributed against all obstacles in the process of development in India.

The three main components of the program are:
♦ Identification 
♦ Recognition 
♦ Capacity building and mentoring

In this program, awards are given to women working at grass root level who have made a significant contribution in the field of education, health, and micro enterprises/enterprises.


The prize is called EXEMPLAR because there are exemplary self-motivated individuals who win prizes, who do excellent work to bring changes in their own lives and their society.



Community Radio Station and SVEEP (Community Radio Stations and SVEEP)






Recently as a new initiative, the Election Commission of India has reached more than 150 community radio stations across the country to educate and inform voters.



Community radio

  • Community Radio is a type of radio service that transmits broadcast content in view of the interests of a certain area.
  • Its transmission is limited to the small geographical area.In this, normal development issues and concerns are transmitted, despite being localized, they are linked to national and regional development goals.
  • Currently, there are more than 180 community radio stations across India, which work in broadcasting languages ​​such as Bundelkhandi, Garhwali, Awadi, and Sathali, etc.
  • Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP)

➦ SVEEP is a program designed to educate citizens, electors, and voters through various modes and media, about educating about the electoral process and increasing their awareness and participation in electoral processes.


➦ It is designed on the basis of state's socio-economic, cultural and demographic profile as well as previous experiences of elections.








  1. A recent study found that Asian wild dogs or drums, which are predators, are on the brink of extinction from the forests of India.
  2. The IUCN has listed the drum (also called Asiatic Wild Dog, Indian Wild Dog and Red Dog) in the Endangered Category (EN).
  3. Decreasing numbers of drums are alarming because they balance their prey's population in forests and play an important role in a healthy forest ecosystem.
  4. In most areas, their number is decreasing, mainly due to the lack of housing, lack of prey, transmission of disease from domestic dogs and other species.
  5. Scientists do not know much about the ecology of the drum, so it is difficult to preserve them.\
  6. A recent study by the Center for Wildlife Studies (CWS) located in Bangalore has found that in the survey of Western Ghats, they are at risk of extinction in the 37,000 sq km area.
  7. Due to the protected forest, there is a relatively high number of drums in the Western Ghats and the central Indian jungles, whereas the Dhol is found in very few places in Eastern Ghats, North Eastern States, Northern India, Sikkim, Ladakh, etc.
  8. Dhol is a wild carnivorous animal that inhabits forest areas mainly in South and South-East Asia.
  9. At the global level, about 82% of the drums have disappeared from their habitat area.


National Maritime Day is celebrated every year on April 5 in India




➦  This time the national sea day is important because on this day, on April 5, 1919, the first Indian Ship was on a journey from Mumbai to Britain (Mumbai to Britain).

➦  In the memory of this, from 1964 every year on 5th April the National Sea Day is celebrated
